If money wasn't an option for me I'd wait a couple weeks and get the titan.

But really the 690 is a beast if you want it now, and don't care about money well of course go with the 690.

There is really no need for a 690 unless you run multiple screens or at 120hz/3D. The 680 is plenty fast and the 7970GHZ is even faster than that. Have you considered AMD. They are cheaper than the 680 and have a tasty game deal right now too.

If cash is not a limiting factor, then of course the 690 - what would make you even ask this? Are you under the impression that the 690 is just a slight bump up from the 680? It's not the case. Like dish_moose stated, it's essentially two 680s in one card! No real contest with the 680 (technically), unless you were really asking if you should get two 680s or one 690. By the way, IF money isn't tight, could you hold off just a few more weeks and go for a Titan? Might be worth the wait...

I am able to run Crysis 3 on the highest possbile settings with tessilation with my 690 at 1920 x 1080. High settings with no AA with Nvidia surround 5760 x 1080. The 690 is a powerhouse. Keep in mind that I have not done any overclocking or boosting yet.
