I have an old system which I use for a couple of old games and downloading but it seems to be having a slight problem.
I have been the standard VGA output from the MB since I didnt have a DVI lead/adapter but have recently brought one, so I installed the geforce 7800GT graphics card and changed the settings so that it is outputted through this.
my problem is that if I leave the computer idle for a time the computer says 'No Input Signal' and with all the will in the world can not get the monitor/signal to restart unless I reboot the system.
If left for a slightly longer idle time the computer will just power off - I mean just cut the power instantly, not the shut down way just a loss of power and has to be returned on.
Im at a loss as what it could be tbh.
I thought it might be the system getting to hot but the CPU hovers around 33'C the cores around 39 - 41'C, system around 33
the GPU seems to idle at 44 - 45'C and if an old game is played with in-game settings set on LOW it seems to be around 50 - 52'C
I didnt think this would cause the computer to shut down?
So Im thinking and have seen on google that maybe the PSU isnt all that?
Any help would be great.
