Samsung ships "majority" of GDDR3 memory for Xbox 360

Samsung today said that it is the main supplier of the graphics memory for Microsoft's recently launched game console Xbox 360. Running at 700 MHz, the 512 Mbit GDDR3 memory, organized in a 16 Mbit x 32 configuration, is rated at a bandwidth of 5.6 GByte per second, which is about 3.5 times faster than the memory used in the original Xbox, Samsung said. No, we don't know:) I think that it just uses the base memory for that kind of stuff.

None! It uses your system memory for MIDI Soundfonts. Otherwise no memory is needed.

One place that I found a great deal of information at was Creative's opensource webpage but now it is over at
<A HREF="http://sourceforge.net/projects/emu10k1/" target="_new">sourceforge</A>. I would suggest downloading the Audigy driver and reading through the documentation there becuase it does mention device specific memory ranges, like instruction memory is 0x600 to 0xe00. But I'm going to assume that is not really what you meant. But it is a good read though to find out information about the Audigy.
