Questions about the 7970 matrix

So I recently bought the 7970 matrix platinum and I was going to buy a maximus v-gene along with it, but I just out that thr v-gene is not VGA hotwire compatible. So is there any point still buying the v-gene instead of extreme 6? Like any other exclusive advantages I can have on the matrix with the v-gene

VGA hotwire is just marketing... You can monitor and overclock the Matrix easly without it don't worry.
