Ok guys. I've got a custom built pc that i bought off someone and i want to upgrade the graphics card. My rig is:

MOTHERBOARD Asus m5a 78l- M SOCKET AM3- USB 3
CPU AMD FX 6100 BULLDOZER 3.33GHZ X6 CORE
8GB DDR3 MEMORY 2 X 4 GIGS
AMD RADEON HD 6450 2GB DDR3 PCI-E GRAPHICS CARD
1 TB HARD DRIVE SATA

What would you recommend? I was thinking about the gtx 550 ti or gtx 650 but more inclined towards the 550 seeing its cheaper.

Thanks in advance.

If you're planning on doing heavy gaming. The 550 Ti is a pretty weak card. If the they are all you can afford, then going with the 650.

Very slightly, if your case. The 550 Ti will be enough. The 650 will play newer games a little better than the 550 Ti due to its newer architecture. But the games you're playing are mostly CPU dependent. Not saying they dont require a good GPU, but the 550 Ti would do just fine for what you're wanting to do. But if you can get the 650 or the 650 Ti at the same price or close to a 550 Ti then definitely pick that up.
