Old hard drive dillema

Hello, I have just bought new asus sabertooth 990fx MB, corsair ax 850 psu and would like to install them in my old case together with old harddrive and hd5870. cpu is 1090t. will the old copy of windows 7 64 bit that i have on old drive still work on new motherboard? or should i do something before changing parts? im new to building computers. i have an extra copy of w7 that i bought as well was thinking of getting new ssd to install it to but its not an option now no money for ssd for now. any help would be greatly appreciated . thanks in advance

Fresh install is best way to go - no bloated registry, no headaches!!! With you copy of Win7 you will be able to re-install when you get a SSD.
