Is there any way to "know" that the power supply is shot?
With out any kind of tester?
And if thats the only way, What kind of tester would be recomended? (without spending a millio$)
I got a pc that does nothing, Imean zip. Guessing its the Power Supply.
Thanks for any help

Antec makes a tester that you can use with a multi-meter.

ermm i think i have a dodgy psu.... in MB5 the +12 @ 11.61 and +3.3 @ 3.20 and +5 @ 3.25

is this bad? i have a p3 933

Rule of thumb, no more than 10%+/- variance in voltage.
Your +5 is too low.

so that means its just a [-peep-] psu? o well when i upgrade later this month i plan on getting enermax....just wanted to see if there was really a difference between 50 psu and 260 psu...

I wouldn't go cheap on a power supply. Every component of your system is relying on it.
