I believe I remember you recommending this card awhile back. How does it compare to the MuseXL and Fortissmo2 under linux and Xp. You cant beat the price ar $8. Thanks, Nick

Non, the SQ1500 is only stereo. It's the best single channel card ever made, because it uses the best reflective technology ever developed. But it's still only a single channel card. The card I recommend is the SQ2500.

Fat, the SQ2500 was not as well known as the MX300 and Montego II, but used the same chip.

Good luck finding some. The one place I'd keep my eye on is <A HREF="http://www.compgeeks.com/details.asp?invtid=SQ2500-OPT" target="_new">ComputerGeeks</A>. Too bad they've been out of stock since January. I've looked for some at PriceWatch, but to no avail. If you find some, please post a URL, alright? Cool.

A reason why <b>I</b> like this card is that I don't have to worry about popping or anything, unlike my previous SB Live. Plus, it was a good deal at $14. And, it sounds great!

XP drivers are built in. As for Linux drivers, you'd probably have better luck looking for Diamond MX300 soundcard drivers, since it's the same chip as the SQ2500.
