Combining wireless network

Recently I have had a thought about changing the networking around my house. Currently we have two routers as my house is very tall and not very wide, they are called JohnsonNet1 and JohnsonNet2. Is there a way to get them to run one network called JohnsonNet?

Will it work the same on wireless?

depending on what router you are using.

some have a repeater function build in and other can use third party firmware like DD-WRT
