When the new card will be released i will buy 2 of this cards for SLI.

Now Im wondering, with such powerfull GPU's will the bandwith from the pcie x8's be bottlenecking the GPU's?
Would 2011 platform with 2x16 slots perform better?

Also when would my i7 3770K 4,6Ghz become the bottleneck in games?
Its allready bottlenecking in skyrim, duo to a major flaud in skyengine. Shadows are renderd by the cpu -.-

But upcomming demanding games like Cryis 3 will my 3770k be good enough for the future games.

what do you have right now? how can the i7 be a bottleneck at all? the i7 itself performs better than a 3930k in gaming

dont be ignorant on the pocket. those things will run you 2000 dollars in the end. the die size and the amount of vram found aboard wont be cheap

Its only in skyrim the 3770K is reaching its limits far to quikly.
Becuse as said above skyrim uses the cpu for shadow rendering.

I need a 6GB card.
The 7970 6gb vaporiser would be an awsome choice, probably a lot better performance wise compared to the costs.
But i have the Asus Nvidia 3D Vision 2 monitor and it is not compatible with Amd GPU's.
Reason i need 6gb is becuse i play with 5760x1080 resolution.
Skyrim as I'v modded it now uses 4gb with only low to medium settings.

But my question was will the cpu or the x8 pciE cuse bottleneck in future games with 2 GeForce Titans.

the i7 3770k performs better in games than a 3930k so there you go.

8x pcie shouldnt bottleneck anything. nothing (even the GK110) can make full use of a x8 pci-e 3.0 slot

Okey than i can rule out the need of chaning to 2011 socket.

So the 3770k wouldn't be a bottleneck in near future games i hope.

it wont be for a pretty long time. a q6600 is still i3 level (which is still good enough for a gtx 660ti)
