Hey Guys - Here are my specs - XFX FX-795A-TNFC Radeon HD 7950 Core Edition 3GB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card - AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz (4.2GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Eight-Core Desktop Processor FD8350FRHKBOX - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-1600C9D-16GXM - and an M5a99FX Pro R2.0 Asus Motherboard

I have everything installed. All the fans and power turns on. The fan on the vga is on so I know it has power. Yet I cant get a signal to either vga or hdmi. Double checked the connections multiple times. My first time building one so im not really sure if I got a bad video card or just mis installed something. Please any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Chris

Check you monitor. Did you fully inserted the GPU card. I don't use AMD cpu but if it has an integrated graphics, try removing the gpu, and plug it using through integrated graphics, if it works, probably a defected gpu.

Monitor works. Works with my laptop. I did fully insert the GPU Card. Checked it a few times. The power supply make is XFX PRO850W XXX Edition Semi-Modular 80 Plus Silver Certified 850 Watt Active PFC Power Supply. When I plug in the PCI-E pins there is a single 2 prong pin on each that has nowhere to plug in. However the GPU Card has power when I turn on the machine . The fan runs on it. If the Motherboard Doesnt have a slot for any type of monitor to plug in then im guessing it doesnt have an integrated graphics correct?

So I took everything out and figured ild start from scratch again. Seems now that the motherboard turns on for a split second and then turns off. Even with everything unplugged from it except for the power it still happens. I took my old motherboard and plugged it in and it stayed on fine. Must be the motherboard right? its brand new and was turning on fine yesterday. So frustrated!!!
