I am trying to decide which graphics card I should get, I would like to play upcoming games not necessarily on ultra but good quality.
Here are my parts I have slected so far:

Corsair Professional Series HX 750 Watt ATX/EPS Modular 80 PLUS Gold (HX750)

AS Rock LGA1155 DDR3 SATA3 USB3.0 Quad CrossFireX and Quad SLI A GbE ATX Motherboard Z77 EXTREME4

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heat Pipes (RR-B10-212P-G1)

Seagate Barracuda 7200 1 TB 7200RPM SATA 6 Gb/s NCQ 64MB Cache 3.5-Inch Internal Bare Drive ST1000DM003

Intel Core i7-3770K Quad-Core Processor 3.5 GHz 8 MB Cache LGA 1155 - BX80637I73770K

Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory (CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10)

I was looking at the GEFORCE gtx 680 but it is a bit pricey, I am new to pc building so all advice is welcome.

Do you think I should go with the i7? or i5?

Thanks!

the difference between i7 (3770k) and i5(3570k) is the i7 is hyper threaded while i5 is not....people say for games it will not make a difference so you can save some money and go for the 3570k

hyperthreading means one core can take two calculations per clock cycly so one core acts like two cores in windows but the hyperthreaded core is not as efficient as regular physical core

you can get either gtx 680 or 7970 ghz edition it just depends who you like more (fanboy wars ASSEMBLEE)

Please let's just bypass the fanboy wars part and help this guy out.

What's your budget for the graphics card? If you feel that you can't really max out your budget to get the graphics card you want, you could very well go for the i5 3570k instead and put the $100 you saved into the graphics card. Also, you probably won't really need 16Gb of RAM for a gaming system. 2x4Gb should be fine.

In terms of my choice of motherboard do you think I will get the desired effect with an i5 and a 680?
