I have a Vector Research VRX-2700 and the LCD display seems to have
two problems:

1. some of the segments flicker rapidly.

2. The information displayed is not legible - it seems like some
segements are completely out, but I do not think that is the problem.

Thoughts? What should I look for? Is it the display or something
driving the display?
