Hey, so I have recently noticed that, when streaming a 1080p Youtube video or something like that, I actually tend to get slower speeds, than say, when I am downloading or uploading a video or program, etc. See, when I upload some videos for my hockey team or the like, my network meter tells me I'm getting 1.0 M speeds. However, when I am streaming 1080p video, I only get like 750k. This means that occasionally I have to let the video buffer. Why? At the times when I do this, I know that no one else is on my network, and yet I still get slower speeds! How does this make any sense?

When streaming video the server you are connected to sets the max download speed. If the server is overloaded it will not be able to keep up with all the download streams.
