Display driver has stopped working and recovered

So I'm home and about to enjoy a heaping portion of Crysis 3 eye candy. I boot it up and hop in to resume campaign. Not even 2 minutes in, and the game starts to freeze up sporadically and eventually says that the 314.07 WHQL "stopped responding" and "has recovered". Fine...I decide to perform a clean install of the driver to no avail, the problem persists. It's weird because it was working last night when I was playing but today its been crapping out on me. Ideas, and suggestions for tried-and-tested drivers are welcome. Thanks in advance.

oh also it says something along the lines of: ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED
