greeting everyone, i need some help here:

Can i upgrade my graphic card? the current model is an ati radeon mobility 4200 hd, and the laptop model is an HP G42-283 La.

In case the upgrade is available, which is the best grapchic card for this model?

I don't believe you can upgrade a laptop graphics card because the card is probably integrated into the mother board and the laptop probably doesn't have any type of expansion slot for a graphics card. I have seen people use an external graphics card on a laptop but it defeats the purpose of having a portable device.

No. Laptops are usually not upgradable.
