New Router Buy Help - Asus Vs. D-Link

OK I had got a Dlink DIR-615 router and I have to say it has to be the best router for beginners. And I got it thanks to the recommendation to people here. So thanks, everyone!

But it got a bit old. And I sold it off. Just a month ago.

I'm considering 2 routers -- 1) Dlink DIR - 655 and 2) Asus RT- 66U.

Both are good. But the Asus one is a bit costly but does offer more features.
But I just want to know which performs better, Asus or D-link.

The ASUS RT-66U also has 3G support thanks to 2 USB ports and a lot of other features.
I am a bit more inclined towards it.

So please tell me what you think.

I am big fan of versatility and the Asus can use DD-WRT firmware

I have an ASUS NT-56U Black Diamond and up until recently it's been amazing! You'll see I just started a thread about it...I'm just hoping it's something I'm doing that is limiting my connection just now through the router and not the router itself (pretty sure it is). Once I figure out the issue I'd still say the ASUS routers are phenomenal.
