I have experienced a very high performance from my EVGA gtx 670 ftw in many games like battlefield 3, crysis 2, farcry 3. However, in AC3, specifically in Boston the fps drops to as low as 21-25 with everything maxed out. Also, with ultra setting in farcry 3, the fps drops to 30-35 at certain points. In NFS Most Wanted, inside the city, I get only 30-40 fps. I have seen many threads and many people say that at maxed settings with a 670, the lowest fps (in the games I mentioned) they get is 40-45.

I have already updated my drivers to the latest 314.07 version. Still, I am not getting a smooth in-game experience as other people say.

Is it my processor that is bottlenecking? My processor is an intel core i5 650 @3.20 Ghz (1st generation :) ). I have a 64-bit Windows 7 and 4-gb ram. If it is my processor, can you suggest some good matching processors for my gpu (only from intel please)? I think that 4 gb ram is enough for now, right?

if you are playing on 1080p, then those frame rates are fine and you dont need to worry....
4gigs of ram already provides a lot of breathing room....

as far as ac3 is concerned, it is a bad console port.....and it has issues with certain drivers...both for nvidia as well as amd....

i changed 15 drivers and what worked for me was the version 301.42 which provided a stable 30+ frame rate in boston...
try it and see if it works....
