MyDVD shuts down

Just a guess, but I suspect something is leftover in your Registry.

Try de-installing the programming then running something like Regclean,
or if you've got XP, find a copy of REGSCRUBXP and install and
run it.

That might fix the problem.

If not, you might have to use regedit and clean
out all entries for that program.
