As above guys

running 2X HD 4870 in crossfire and ATM they are doing me ok but with the ASUS GeForce GT 440 (Fermi) 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 with DX 11 !!!!!!!!!!

Should I trade in both my cards for the ASUS GeForce GT 440 (Fermi) 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16

or keep what I have???

many thanks,

Phil

+1 @zooted. The GT440 isn't really a gaming card. A GTX660 or HD7870 would be nice strong upgrades. The former uses a little less power, and the latter generally (but NOT always, e.g. BF3) is a little stronger in games.
If you're a bitcoin miner, AMD cards are the ONLY way to go.

cheers very much that list says it all.

it was just CEX have 1 i could swap for and seeing as it's DX 11 i thought it may be a decent upgrade without spending too much extra cash.

I got both 4870's for £70 so thought it may do the same as the set up i have now.

So what should or could i upgrade to with same performance on 1 card and add another at a later date. if that makes sense ???

You might find a used HD6950 for a good price. Be careful of the used market, but a working HD6950 would be a decent upgrade. On the nVidia side of the house, a GTX560Ti would give around the same performance. Note that some games favor one or the other, AMD or nVidia, so check benchmarks.

It would be about the same performance wise, but it would be less heat and power. It would also leave you another spot to add another card. You would have to get to a 7870 / 7950 to see any major improvement.
