Does HD7770 support my PCI-E ?

I'm having a Gigabyte G41MT-S2PT mainboard,i'm intend to buy a HIS HD 7770 IceQ X (PCI-E 3),what is my PCI-E gen of my mainboard? Can it support HD7770 if it has a low gen PCI-E?

Yes it will work PCI-E 2.0 and 3.0 cards are backwards compatable with pci-e 1.0 slots and you most likely won't see much of a performance decrease, if any. You can look this up too as people have tested this if you feel like it (I personally found it interesting but that was just me).
