Will 512mb vram bottleneck todays games? I wont be playing on ultra high quality, more like low to medium. Also either 1600x900 or lower resolution.

I will be playing games such as skyrim and league of legends

Yea 512mb will be a bottleneck a little. 1 gb is enough these days. Don't fret too much about it though. If you are going to upgrade, get a much better card>

according to your sig, dont you have a 7870 ghz? lol

This is for my other baby rig. I was getting a 4850 for real cheap and it only has 512mb of vram. Will it be much of a problem?

The 4850 isnt to bad of a card, I had a couple of those and tried diff combo's of single gpu and xf and both results I could live with. I mainly played Skyrim when I had those cards and it was very playable on high settings.

Yes it will, that gpu struggled with skyrim on ultra. If the price is right though and its the only option I would buy it. Especially since its not his reg gaming rig.

Was only going for low-med settings. Just the ability to play it really.
