HD 6870 or HD 7850 ?

Hey guys , its so hard to decide between these two . I have a tight budget .

To get the HD 6870 for $122 or the HD 7850 for $181 ?

what's the rest of your build? specs, PSU? what about resoultion?

i use the 6870 and it's great for a mid range card. it will plays all games fine (depending on settings) @ 1080.

Mobo : MSI Z77MA-G45
RAM : Kingston 8GB 1333
PSU : Cooler Master GX650W

I play games at 1366 x 768 , hoping to upgrade tp 1080p in the future .

1366 x 768 a 6870 will max most everything. At 1920 go with the 7850, because the 6870 is starting to fall behind at that resolution.
7850 runs cooler too, which will bring better overclocks when it starts dragging it's heels.

In all seriousness if you're gonna upgrade your monitor to 1080 anytime soon go with the 7850.
