I recently got an Asus nvidia graphics card and it wasn't working well with my computer because it kept on failing on me so i decided to buy a new graphics card. Although im not sure which kind i need. All i know is that i need a PCI Express x16 card but im not sure what type of ddr i need

These are my specs:
Processor:AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core processor 4200+ 2.20GHz
Ram:3.50 gb
System type: 32 bit operating system
motherboard name:MSI RS480M2 (MS-7093)

Not knowing more about your power supply I'd say the most I'd try to put in it is a 6670.

To answer your main question ddr is just the memory speed on the gpu higher is better. Pcie 1.0 x16 should run a pci 2.0 card they are backwards compatible.
