Gpu monitor help?

but it has no hdmi port on it. and the tv im using right now had a hdmi port on it. so i was wondering for the best resolution for gaming would it be the dvi plug in the gpu and hdmi in the monitor or the hdmi in the gpu and dvi in the monitor? i hope you guys get what im saying.

Dvi and hdmi are going to be the same quality so it really doesn't matter.
