I have an Asus 7770 2gb version and I was wondering if I should upgrade it to the 7850. I see benchmarks on all kinds of websites and it's all different. On paper it says the 7850 will be a 60 percent jump. Although when I see Battlefield 3 and Skyrim there is only a 10 percent difference. Only a few more fps here and there. The only reason why I want to upgrade to this card is because I can't max out my settings on Far Cry 3. I play custom settings but lower the fx and shadow textures. Everything else is on ultra or high, I can play it like this with 40-65 FPs no problems, but I would like to play it on max and to have a card that is future proof(lasting about 4 years). Well let me know if it is a good upgrade.

Depending on your resolution even the 7850 will have issues with maxing out far cry 3, it should be a nice boost though

Review done with latest drivers and everything turned to the max AFAIK

Thank you for the benchmarks, it's an improvement, and it's only a 30 dollar difference the thing that bugs me is all Asus 7 series look all the same lol..but I believe the 7850 is huge! I'm sure it will fit in my case though I have a Haf 912

I have a friend with a HAF 912 and a gigabyte 7850 2GB (the one I have too, bought it at the same time) and it fits just fine, and further research shows the 7770 and the 7850 at the same size (due to the cooler)

There are 2 free games you can sell to offset the cost as well.
If you want to get a different looking one, the gigabyte, msi and sapphire ones are nice, as are most of the manufacturers
