Best hd 7870?

Graphics card Authority

I would never buy a Powercolor card. Especially when it's more so luck when a card overclocks more than another when their both based on the same chip. The main thing that does change for an overclock is the memory since every company choses the brand of chip they put on the GPU.

By far the club 3d 7870 xt is the best card there. Most 7870 cards are based on the Pitcairn architecture. However AMD introduced the 7870 xt to the manufacturers. Only 3 decided to make. Anyway the 7870 xt is based on the Tahiti architecture (same as 79xx cards) but slightly tuned down (think of it as 7950 LE). It only performs 1-5% slower than most 7950 cards. Thats is the card I would buy in your situation.

Ummm m8 the powercolor cards are cherry picked diss. They are the best overclockers. When you are playig the silicon lottery you auto-win when you buy a powercolor card. But like I said their cooler is crap.

Thanks for the advise, didn't see it on time.
I have one last question.
Should I go with the sapphire hd 7870xt or the club 3d hd 7870xt?

hEY man you should definetly go with Sapphire,it has great coolers and it is also good for overclocking...........

did anyone read the reviews by Tom's? the Powercolor 7870 LE pcs+ myst edition is the only card labeled 7870 but with a tahiti core. Tom's used it in all of their SBM computers, it has a best buy from Tom's and was in the best graphics cards for February. You get near or past stock 7950 performance without boost for only ~$240

*Edit with overclocking the card reaches non boost 7950 performance with the risk of a lot of power usage as well, but Tom's has had several of these cards about 4-5 of them, all have overclocked well, and cooling noise was mediocre-decent, no the worst though.

I'm almost sure the powercolor and club 3d are the same cards, correct me if I'm wrong. Do you think that one is better than the sapphire?

absolutely no question by far the best 7870 is this tahiti le version for $204.99 after rebate, before tax(if applicable) and shipping.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

add the free tomb raider and bioshock.... no gpu has "ever" come close to this as far as money/performance ratio

Yep I agree but what card has better cooling the club 3d(powercolor not available but club 3d is the same) or the sapphire one.
