Monitor isnt showing up

Just bought a used 27" IPS monitor: hp zr2740w

The resolution it runs is 2560 x 1440

I am pairing it up with a 23" LG IPS monitor that runs at 1920x1080

My problem is, when I went to the guys house to buy it worked perfectly fine. I tested it for dead pixels, checked the warranty and even called HP to see if it was still covered, which it is for 3 more years.

I brought it home and it doesnt work with my computer, it only works in the lowest resolution (600x480 or something like that) and in safe mode.

As soon as I increase the resolution it just appears with a blank screen.

The graphics card I'm using is
ATI Radeon HD 5750
The website says it can run "Integrated dual-link DVI output with HDCP11
Max resolution: 2560x1600"

What is the issue? Thanks.

I have hooked it up by itself. It works with the black screen and white text that I think is like loading the drivers but then it doesnt show the desktop. Only shows loading screen for windows.
In safe mode it does show the desktop but only at the very low resolution.

  1. Hi
How about reinstall driver of video cards?
If monitor worked perfectly in guys house, problem might be in video card.
