seagate baracuda III probz help needed

i got this 20 gb harddrive ...

but my 4 years old system only sees 8 gbs on it...wat do i do?

also it has trouble when i try to shut the computer, *cough cough* it stops at this screan where it says "please wait while ur computer is shutting down" then i have to manually shut it down very bothering...

and some how my suspend option doesn't work either...well it does suspend, but when i turn it back on it freezes at the screen where i last left it ><"

try updating ur bios. many older bois dont fully recognize large drives. as for the suspend, many computers dont work well with the suspend. in power options set ur monitor and harddrives to turn off after like 30 minutes. still saves power but dont have the problems like suspend does.

i checked my bios...and it's in the rite setting lba,
suspense option worked on my old drive though...
