What is my best bang for buck? Both these cards sell for around $140 - $150 in my area While the gt640 /radeon7750 go for $99 each. my monitor, a 22" ASUS is a VGA input only.So I know that the 7750 will simply plug in and go.I am using Adobe Photoshop CS2 and play mostly older games such as LotR Battle for ME and older. Plus RTS games, surfing etc and video converting. I'm using Win 7 premium 64bit via 4gb Ram and an AMD phenom dual core cpu. Very Modest setup but it handles all this old pensioner needs,But I need help with this as my current 9500gt has stated showing occasional artifacts.http://img.tomshardware.com/forum/uk/icones/frown.gif

Thanks. Nurph

I would go for the 7750 as the best price/perf card out of the 4
7770 > 650 > 7750 > 640
Video converting can use CUDA or OpenCL or DXVA depending on the app

Thanks people.I really appreciate the feedback because I know so little and as cost IS a factor I think I'll take Stickmansams advice and get the 7750 . I had thought about it before but had a few dollars more to spend ,so I'll treat myself to another HDD and run a RAID configuration as my daughters boyfriend suggests. UPDATE!!!
The 9500 went and played 'smokey' just as I was finishing this. Now I'm running on the onboard Nvidia 6000 series.Your prompt advice is even more welcome !! Thanks again!
