C2q video card update

Guys I have a older rig with a core 2 quad q6700 and a nvidia 8800gts 512mb. My mobo is a evga 780i that supports pcie 2.0. I want to be able to play skyrim on high/highest settings at 1080p. I was wondering, would this be possible with just a video card upgrade? The most i'd be willing to spend is $250 but the cheaper the better.

I was looking at the amd 7850 2gb video cards, would this work for my situation?

High settings maybe, but a Video card upgrade would do you wonders

A 7850 would be a great choice
