Does anyone know anything about this product? I'm thinking about using it or
something similar in lieu of Tivo to go. I'm told I will gain transfer
speeds ( TV direct cable to my computer ) but, of course, lose Tivo's
wonderful programming. I will keep my two present Tivo units and only use
this device to record fishing or golf programs on to my computer and then
burn those programs onto a permanent DVD. Does this make any sense? thanks

thanks

It would be a cheaper solution just to hack your TiVos so you use
mfs_ftp instead of TTG. That way, you get to keep your wonderful TiVo
programming and you gain transfer speeds and you don't have to go out
and buy anything additional.

I have used Video Capture with a similar product:

The Eskape Labs "My TV 2Go", and

Tytools on a PC with video extraction is FAR superior.

+ Digital all the way for superior quality Video

+ With DirecTiVo surround sound preserved for Superior Audio

+ Over 4 hours of Digital Video recording on
standard DVDs, as opposed to 2 hours max with Video Capture.
