I tried to replace with intel Wifi 5100 AGN card, will not switch on Tags: Configuration Switch WiFi Intel Wireless Networking Last response: December 6, 2013 3:11 PM in Wireless Networking Share steven241 March 17, 2012 9:35:41 PM Hello, I have Windows XP - Toshiba M105-S3064 with Intel Wifi 3945 ABG card. I tried to replace with intel Wifi 5100 AGN card - to use more options (A or G or N). I find it listed in Device Manager and with drivers installed. I tried to switch by hand yet will not light-up, will not switch on. I know the switch is good, because I put back the intel 3945 card, then it lights-up and switches on and off by hand. I checked it, it runs better: cooler, less interference and etc. Model is 512AN_MMW Intel WiFi Link 5100 SPS is XXXXXX-XXX XX TA is E50457-007 Device Instance ID is PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4232&SUBSYS_12018086&REV_00\4&20975680&0&00E1 Hardware IDs is PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4232&SUBSYS_12018086&REV_00 PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4232&SUBSYS_12018086 PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4232&CC_028000 PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4232&CC_0280 Menory Range is D0100000-D0101FFF IRQ is 17 Hardware Version 0.1.52 Driver is Intel 12/8/2011 Version is 22.214.171.124 FCC ID is PD9512ANNM PTA Approved Model Complies with IDA Standards DB 02941 m 0 l steven241 August 19, 2013 9:50:11 PM I found it must be programed, in the ROM, the BIOS, like BIOS Updates to accept the one it has. m 0 l Can't find your answer ?
