Directx 11

Hi there!
I have issues with my directx 11, as it has been installed on the computer (numerous times to be precise), but games (like Crysis 3) do not seem to notice it. Dxdiag says as well that i have properly installed directx 11, and i have no idea what could be the problem.
I have Windows 7 professional, intel core i7 cpu, Ati Radeon HD 4800 series.
Any helpful thought would be very supportive, since i really have tried everything i could (what is not too much).
Thanks in advance!

  1. Hello... your Card does not support X11... a hardware issue, not software.
  2. That's because the Radeon HD 4xxx series only supports up to DX10.1.

AMD implemented DX11 in the Radeon HD 5xxx series.

If you want DX11, then you need to upgrade your graphics card.
  3. So it does not count that it is installed, because it is not supported?
  4. your card is 10.1 Dx only

  5. Is there any way to make it work without buying a whole new graphics card?

    No.
  7. Hello... Don't run any X11 software modes/settings.
  8. Buy a GTX 650 maplins UK . make sure you have the correct motherboard to run the ATi or AMD cards.
