Cant update graphics driver ati mobility radeon x300

why cant i update my ATI Mobility Radeon x300 graphics card? I have windows xp and current updates for it. When i try to run a scan to update it from the ati site it either says "cannot find a driver suitable for this computer". OR it says "Cannot find graphics bios information". Ok now i look at my graphics card settings and the bios information is right there.....
