Wow! I can't believe you don't have any problems already. I'm not sure what the GF4 is going to throw into the mix but I would suspect that a PSU upgrade is in order (just for some breathing room at the least).

Yes. I too am pleasantly surprised at that combo operating with all those frills and no probs. Congrats!

In that case, try it and see. Why spend and never know.

I would get a better PSU ASAP.

I wouldn't recommend anything under 350w for that setup, i would go with something like the Enermax 431w, it's an Excellent PSU, can anybody back me up on that?

I agree.

I concur.

A little birdie  told me that an average PSU should have:

Quote :

20A for the 3.3V power.
30A for the 5V power.
165W for the combined 5V/ 3.3V power.
20A for the 12V power.

The Enermax 431W PSU meets all of these criteria. Therefore, qualifying it as an "Excellent PSU".

antec makes a good one and it's on amd's recommended list. i replaced the 300w that came with my case with it. pp412x ($71 at cdw.com) also if you are buying directly from antec you can request it w/out the power supply. i was looking at the 660b for a short while, it costs $134 w/pws $74 w/out the pws. just check w/customer service.

After what just happened to me, I would definitely go for a better PSU, especially after what just happened to me. My story

I would make it enough, or increase the possible risk of a *poof* occuring. Next time I build, I'm gonna center it around a good case and power supply, instead of the other way around. I'm miserable with my current case.

Is it possible to use two seperate power supplies, not connected in any way? And then use one for the cpu, cooling, and cdrw drive. Then use the other for everything else?

I wonder what would happen if everyone asked why about everything?

lpenix, Did you get the GF4-4600, or the 4400, you have stated two different GPU in your Post's, first you said 4600, then you said 4400 ?

Sorry dude, i was going to get a 4600, but for $100.00 less i got the 4400, and if i want i can overclock to 4600 specs, but the 4400 just plain rocks. sorry about the confusion.

Well no. "Everything else" is on the mobo.

or do you mean the CPU fan?

PSU 1 on mobo.
PSU 2 everything else would work.

Don't know how you would seperately configure them.

I wonder what would happen if everyone asked why about everything?
