Windows XP has a speaker configuration setting. It has choices like Stereo, Headphone, Laptop, Quadraphonic, Surround, 5.1, 7.1, etc.

I have a Soundblaster Live 4.1 sound card and Logitech Z-560 4.1 Surround speakers. Is it better to put the Windows speaker setting on Quadraphonic or Surround?

quadraphonic is for if you have 4 speakers 5.1 if you have 5 look at the picture to see if it resembles your setup
