i just upgraded a DirecTivo HD pair (120+80) to a new HD pair
(160+160), but got an error message during the expand. before i ran
mfsbackup/mfsrestore, mfsinfo showed the old pair as being able to be
expanded 1 more time...so i proceeded to run mfsbackup/mfsrestore (left
off -s 127 as the swapfile had already been expanded in a prior
upgrade). here are the messages i got:

note: screen shot can be seen here -

======begin messages========
Backup done!
Cleaning up restore. Please wait a moment.
Restore done!
Adding pair /dev/hdc14-/dev/hdc15
New estimated standalone size: 297 hours (69 more)
Adding pair /dev/hdd8-/dev/hdd9
No space in volume list for new volumes.
Drive B expansion failed.
======end messages========

if mfsinfo says it can still be expanded, any idea as to why the
expansion failed during mfsrestore?

any ways to get around this so that i can expand to make the most use
of both 160gb drives (i.e., up to the 137gb limit)?

i'm re-running this using dd to individually copy these drives to the
new drives and intend on using them in an "unexpanded" state until i
uncover some sort of workaround. i'd really like to use as many of the
addl GB i've paid for!
