I recently acquired a pair of Acoustic Research AR-1 speakers. Would
appreciate any info regarding the following:

1. I'm considering parting these out. Based on my research, the
AR-1's have the Western Electric 755-A mid/tweet. The pictures I've
seen of the 755-A all have a black cone. My AR-1's both have light
brown cones that look like the black ones. Can these still be
755-A's?

2. What is the procedure for removing the drivers/crossover? All
I've done so far is pulled back most of the grille cloth. There is a
front panel which appears to be glued preventing access to the
drivers.

3. Although both cabinets have stickers that say AR-1, they are
different from each other. What's odd is that both have the round
holes on the back; however, one has a pot with three metal connectors,
the other has no pot and has seven metal connectors. Are these both
really AR-1's?

TIA
