SO Confused about RAM. What I need for a new Mobo

OK. Kinda new to this. I have an existing motherboard with PC133 SDRAM. I have over 300 megs of that. I wanted to get a new Soyo or Gigabyte mobo for an Intel chip. Now can I use my existing RAM and put it in this mobo eventhough it says DDR Ram. Then I see DDRRam and DDR SDRam and then ECC and Non-ECC. I was trying to see a post on this to clarify all the difference. More importantly, if I can keep my old RAM I'll just do that but what is also the most beneficial thing to do? Hope you guys can help me out.
