Using A Different Power Adapter For My Router?

I've lost the original power adapter that came with my wireless router (Netgear N150 Wireless Router
WNR1000v2) and was wondering if it would be safe to use another power adapter with it instead. As long as the power adapter meets the the requirements of the router and fits, it should be okay to use, right? I'm just wanting to be safe before plugging it in. Don't want to damage anything.
