Help! 660 vs 7870: Physx BL2 worth it?

Hi guys! I am stuck in dilemna here. Both the 660 and the 7870 are very good mid range cards that offer respecatable perfomance, however it seems overall that the 7870 offers more value than the green team. But as I plan to play Borderlands 2, the 660 seems very tempting for of course Physx.

Can you guys help me choose what to get??

They seem very evenly matched, you can force physX to run on the CPU with some small .cfg changes (atleast you could when I played BL2) but it really hurts performance.

All depends on prices and how much you'll be playing BL2 I think.

I think I will be playing BL2 a fair amount and I think PHYSX woud be definentley add to the experince.
By the way how much do you think the 660 will last before it struggles to run games on high graphical settings under 30 fps.

Yeah I found that the physX was awesome in BL2. Loved it!

What resolution do you play games at?

Probably 1080p.

Probably 1080p.

It should be able to play most games comfortably @high settings/1080P for a few years to come, obviously it will struggle with some of the more demanding games but that's to be expected from a mid-range card.

I now think the 7870 is the way to go beacause of higher memory bandwitch and more OC ing. I really should not be basing my GPU choice on a single game, BUT PHYSX LOOKS SO DAMN KEWL!
