Hey, anyone got an idea for why my GPU usage on the 2nd GPU is so low?

I just (30 minutes ago) upgraded to an XFX 750W PRO XXX edition PSU, which is semi modular. The PCI-E cables attached to the PSU itself I've connected to the 2nd GPU, the modular cables I've connected to the first GPU.. the modular cables weren't long enough to reach the 2nd gpu.. don't know if this is correct or if I need to switch them around ?

Edit: Or is furmark not able to stress 2 gpus? :p

Hi,

Your PSU cable config sounds fine.

I think there's a Multi GPU version of Furmark available...

Have you tried any games?

And of course check that crossfire is enabled in CCC :p

Hmm, well in BF3 both GPU's are utilized, only they're both running at 40-45% usage

Running them with an i5 2500k @ 4.5ghz

Is the usage low or average or good or how should I see it?

That usage is low, are you using the latest drivers?

Running 13.1 drivers.

Do you have vsync enabled?

Nah..

I'll try reinstalling the drivers. See if it helps.

Well, I installed the 13.2 drivers but the GPU usage stays the same..

Stress tested in furmark again and one reached 99% and the other reached around 55-60% usage

Is that a reasonable test score? Or is it pretty low lol

Tested again with the cores bumped to 1100mhz
http://i47.tinypic.com/29vndpv.jpg

1 gpu did reach 82 degrees for 2 seconds or so, with the fan at 79%. The other GPU was sitting at 73 degrees.

Both were running at 99%

I'm assuming the temperatures are safe? Seeing as games like BF3 don't utilize GPU that much as furmark does.
