Hello All,

Question about the difference between the two cards...is the only difference the heat dissipation apparatus? Or are there other specific changes that I am missing here? Do I have to get the SLI bridge separately ? Thanks!

The motherboard will bring a SLI bridge connector, the evga 670 isn't at 369.99$ in amazon, it's at 399.99$, since you have a case with good airflow, you can get the gigabyte 670 windforce 3x for less(it's a bit cheaper).

Definitely get EVGA FTW edition. it's cooler blows heat out the back of the case, as opposed to circulating inside your case. Internal case temp is very important if you are doing SLI too, so definitely get the FTW editions. ALSO, they are clocked faster, so will have better performance!!!

Agreed. The FTW card is a beast, I am currently running 5760x1080 on triple 27" monitors with one, and it overclocks really well. I have been considering getting a second, and highly recommend it. As stated above, the blower style fan is better (IMO) than the axials, as it exhausts heat outside the case, even if it is a hair louder, when you're gaming you don't really care.

Good luck. ^^

Blower style is not a hair louder... the stock EVGA 670 is absolutely obnoxious under load and is my only regret on the build in my signature.

I would not recommend one unless you have a case with terrible airflow or play with the game volume up to a level where the neighbors call the cops.

Ahhh!! mixed feelings between the two..I can't decide. I know blower is louder since I have a blower style GPU right now but I thought this would be different. I've looked at the reports here ( http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gtx-670-tes... ) and the blower style if definitely louder :(

Other than the loudness, is everything else the same?

Thanks, Helper. Last i checked those were out of stock on Newegg. I'll do some research if the extra $120 is worth the cost to me. It seems the cooling may be better. Is ASUS a reputable organization?

Edit: They still are...the 980mhz edition

The asus is a well known brand and the 670 asus dcii is a good card, but it will it's not the coolest(in terms of temperatures) but it's probably the best in the acoustics department.
Check here for more information : http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gtx-670-tes...

I would go with the gigabyte windforce 3x because it's cheaper and all around it's a good card that offers good temperatures and it's not that loud.
