Windows XP adminstrator password

How do I create an administrator password in windows XP? My friend was just on my system and he was telling me that I had no administrator password, and so I wanted to put one but I dont know how! Someone please tell me, thank you

  1. Right click on my computer, click on manage and goto local users/groups.

    click on users, right click on administrator and set password

  3. reboot, hit f8 during boot and choose safemode, you will the be able to logon as admin, and follow the above directions for changing the password, admin is only there in safemode.
