I'm planning on getting the Titan once it becomes 700-800 bucks but i wanna know how much of a FPS boost would i see on a single 1900x1080 monitor and i currently got a gtx 260. I know the GTX 690 or dual 680s would give more FPS but i was always a single card person, not a fan of dual cards or GPUs. And a single card would require less watt, less heat, and i heard not all games are optimized with dual gpus. Thanks.

Well the TITAN is a really good card and it has 75% of the power of a 690( so I've heard) It should be able to max almost everything on 1080p with 60+ fps for a good period of time. If you got the money go for it.

By the time they go down $300 in price there will be better cards. Why not just get the 690? Even if a game isn't optimized for sli you would get the performance of a 680, which is a huge step up from what you have.

Well it also depends on your cpu. If you are still running a cpu from the gtx 260 era you may not see that much of a boost.
