re: sherwood rd6103: recently i had some friends round and my son pulled
over one of my speakers, pulling the wires out and touching them together.
the amp switched off and will now only switch on for about 5 seconds before
turning itself off.

Blown amp channel. Time to get it to a repair shop. If it's not worth
spending 100.00 or more to fix, replace it.
