Hello! I've been trying to run games like ArmA 2 and Metro 2033 and I've been getting INSANE lag for them. I've look up the requirements, and I have everything for both of those game but my video card is out of date. I've been hoping for one better then NVIDIA GeForce 7800 / ATI Radeon X1800 with Shader Model 3 and 256 MB VRAM and below $200 any suggestions?

The best card you get could get for that price is a 7850 imo. If you're willing to spend maybe a extra 15-30 more bucks for a GTX 660 then thats what I'd do.

And also let me add, these cards need a decent PSU. Do you know what PSU you have?

I bet his rig does not even support PCI-E 2.0 x16, it will be just a waste of money buying a 660, it may even bottleneck

He said he met all the other requirements besides his graphics card being out of date. Assuming the requirements were the recommended the OP should have at least 4gbs of RAM and at least a quad core CPU. If he does not, then yes. I would probably spend the money on upgrading to other things.

what are the rest of your system specs? arma II and metro are also VERY cpu intensive games. so along with a good graphics card you need a good cpu, 8gb ram, and a good power supply to delover enough power to these components.
