Got an problem with Quake 3 and my Geforce 2 MX400 64MB vid card. AMD 1.4GHz, 512MB DDR, Win98SE with all updates, Detonator 4 XP drivers, and the three patches I could find at the Quake site.

Installs fine but when I try to play I get this long error message.

Q3 1.11 win-x86 Nov 24 1999

Reinstall the 1.30 patch for q3a. Should clear up the problem. Otherwise do a reinstall of quake. The problem you have can be caused by a 3rd party user interface that was designed for an older version (arenaspy is a common culprit).

Looks like you are running a really old patch of quake.

yep, the last line gives you the info thats needed, if reinstalling the patch doesnt work (which it should), I complete uninstall/reinstall of the game followed by the patches will sort it

Yea, you are running 1.11 Point Release there. Says so at the top. PAtch it up to 1.30 and it should do good, I should assume.
