Resolution change

Hi I have a 1440x900 19" screen and I want to upgrade so i'm just wondering what the performance difference would be if I change to a 1920x1080 24" screen since its almost double the pixels. Here are my specs :

Amd fx-6200 3.80Ghz x 6
8Gb DDR3 1600Mhz
Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 2GB Ghz edition
ACE 500W PSU
GA-970a-DS3 500GB
Fujitsu MJA2500BH G2 ATA 5400RPM HDD (2.5" )

If you are talking about just raw drop in fps in games, then you'll probably see a 10-20% drop in fps when going from 900p to 1080p. Your specs are fine and you should still see playable frames in any game.
